Vision

The vision of the UMC Children’s Hospital is to be recognized as a leader in children's health by achieving the highest level of excellence. We promote strong relationships between the child, his or her family, and the caregivers in an atmosphere of love and concern.

Mission

Knowing that children are precious, we aim to improve the health of every child in the community by prevention and treatment of illness, disease, and injury.

Our mission is to serve the health care needs and welfare of children and their families. We are committed to excellence in healthcare through education, research, health promotion and advocacy.

Our goals are to:

  • Provide comprehensive, specialized pediatric services for the child and the family
  • Demonstrate respect for those receiving care and their family or caregivers
  • Keep pace with and engage in research towards technological and scientific advances in children’s health care
  • Strive for the highest level of health care for children through education and wellness programs in the community
  • Work with the government and other institutions to promote the health and welfare of children
  • Continually expand our ability to provide health care services to children in the community, regardless of their ability to pay
  • Effectively use all available resources to provide leadership in children’s health care, education and research for future generations
