Each year hundreds of compassionate individuals from our community volunteer at UMC. If you have time, commitment and an interest in serving, we'd love to talk to you!

Volunteers, through unselfish giving of their time and talents, enrich the healthcare experience of our patients. They play an important role in the overall mission of our hospital by providing the very best support for all the patients of University Medical Center (UMC) and to the people in our community.

The mission of the Volunteer Services Department at University Medical Center is to enhance and support clinical and non-clinical departments servicing patients, visitors, Physicians and co-workers by offering much needed assistance. To advance and promote the health of individuals in the Las Vegas Community through services to University Medical Center and its patients. To work side by side with the staff and each other so that the services of University Medical Center can be borne out of the mutual commitment and combined action.

From teenagers to great grandparents, from homemakers to professionals, University Medical Center's hospital volunteers will encompass all walks of life and all income levels, each volunteer with something unique to offer and fill a variety of challenging needs thus allowing health care workers to focus on providing the much needed medical care to the patients we serve.

The Volunteer Program at UMC is essential to accomplishing the mission of the hospital and the volunteers’ support is vital to the success of the hospital’s mission. Their generous and dedicated service has made a tremendous difference to our patients.
